Speedster caught in DENSHAW!

Dear Residents,

On the 29th April  your two local NBO officers plotted up Ripponden road in Denshaw as residents and local authorities raised their concerns regarding vehicles speeding through this rural village often putting people at risk. Officers plotted up and use our “speed gun” to overtly measure cars speed and ensure we are a preventative measure and slowing down the traffic. 

During our time there we recorded numerous vehicles speeding with one coming to our attention for going over the speed limit by a large amount! We were quick to act and got behind the vehicle “lighting” it up and indicating for them to pull over. After a conversation with the driver it was clear they had not learnt there lesson f4rom previous incidents and as such they was issued with a traffic offence report where they will likely be given points and a fine. This small “operation” acts as a deterrent to all drivers within the Saddleworth area and highlights steps your local police team is doing to combat speeding.
